Vote theft by Election Commission for the BJP, alleged by Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi has alleged vote theft & collusion with BJP on Election Commission on 7 August 2025 to manipulate electoral rolls. He alleged systematic fraud and vote chori during 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. He claimed that 1,00,250 bogus votes were polled with 40,009 invalid addresses and 10, 452 registered at common or unverifiable locations. He also alleged deletion of 65 lakh voters in Bihar and addition of 1 crore new voters in Maharashtra. He alleged that Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar is a new method of vote theft by the BJP government. The Election Commission has refused the allegation by Rahul Gandhi and asked the latter to submit his allegations under affidavit or declaration as required legally. The failure to do so within a week would render the allegations “baseless and invalid” as stated by the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
